Dark Matter Spiced Rum
Dark Matter Spiced Rum is made from sugarcane molasses at the Dark Matter distillery in Banchory. The liquid is dark, and very aromatic with the spice more prominent than in many spiced rums. Spices used are ginger, allspice berries, long pepper seeds and fresh green peppercorns.
Ginger, clove, pepper and cinnamon are dominant and it all tastes very authentic, no artificial additives in this spiced rum. Spicy to sip, mellows when mixed, great to add authentic spice to cocktails.
Dark Matter Distillers was founded by brothers Jim & John Ewen and they launched their first product, and Scotland's first rum, in 2015. The purpose built distillery is located in Banchory, Aberdeenshire.
